About The Third Age Trust
Welcome to Kettering u3a (tag line - Learn, Laugh, Live) a branch of The Third Age Trust. Membership of a u3a is open to all in their third age, which is defined not by a particular age but by a period in life in which full time employment has ceased.
Here at the Kettering u3a we cater for a variety of interest groups ranging fom physical activities, e.g. walking, dancing and gardening, to the more relaxed e.g. learning a language, lunch club, musical circles, family history, knitting, singing and many more.
Each month there is a main meeting with interesting guest speakers and an opportunity to have a FREE cup of tea/coffee and see which of the numerous interest groups may attract you. You have a chance to sign up to interest groups and outings to places of interest and just "nice days out".
A quarterly Newsletter is published which contains details of all our interest groups, meeting dates and forthcoming events.
Monthly Meetings
The monthly meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. The venue is Open Door Church in the The Eden Centre, Montagu Street, Kettering and the meeting time is 1.30 to 4.00 pm. Tea / coffee is available and there is the opportunity to find out more about the various interest groups / activities to join and also to be able to chat with other members / friends before the main event (speaker).
Groups
Kettering u3a is an excellent way of making new friends as well as gaining new skills and interests. New members can be assured of a warm welcome so if you are interested please contact us (details on the Contacts page of this site) or simply come to a monthly meeting as a guest and "give us a try"

All members attending the monthly meeting receive a Newsletter on entry, and copies are available afterwards from Tourist Information in Kettering for those members who are unable to attend the meeting. They are also freely available for anyone who is interested in Kettering u3a and who may wish to join us.
